ARCHIVE ‣ [DE]CONSTRUCTED LANDSCAPES

Black and white photographs of a destroyed landscape with debris and wreckage are displayed on a gallery wall in an art exhibit.

[DE]CONSTRUCTED LANDSCAPES

The exhibition presents a compelling series of 11 drawings, created between 2021 and 2023, executed in water-soluble graphite on synthetic paper, with some works mounted on Di-bond and others framed. These contemporary vanitas weave a sublime narrative of vastness and intimacy, creation and destruction, power and helplessness. The series offers a pictorial representation of seeing, sensing, and thinking, documenting both internal and external landscapes. It is driven by a profound desire to comprehend the current ecological crisis, the scale and complexity of which remain challenging to grasp.
